High school
The Upper School programme at Miras International School is focused on academic preparation, career guidance, and admission to leading universities around the world. Learning is based on a combination of international educational standards, subject-specific preparation, and an individualized learning pathway.
Miras high school (10–11 years)
A two-year programme based on the integration of Kazakhstani and international educational standards.
The programme is aimed at:
- advanced academic preparation
- the development of research and analytical skills
- subject-specific learning based on students’ interests
- preparation for admission to universities in Kazakhstan and abroad
Diploma Programme (IB DP1–DP2)
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) is one of the most recognised international high school programmes in the world for students aged 16–19.
Instruction is conducted entirely in English and is focused on preparing students for admission to leading international universities.
The programme helps students to:

Each student is entitled to choose one subject from each subject area (with at least three subjects are studied at Higher Level and three at Standard Level).
The programme also includes a compulsory subject for all students — Theory of Knowledge, which is allocated at least 100 hours per year.
Preparation for universities worldwide
The completion of the programme is preceded by mandatory external assessment conducted by independent examiners from the International Baccalaureate Organization.
To obtain the diploma, students must successfully complete all examination components, write an extended research-based essay (approximately 4,000 words), and actively participate (for at least 150 hours) in the CAS programme (Creativity-Activity-Service).
The International Baccalaureate Diploma is a mark of high-quality education, recognized by leading universities worldwide, and provides opportunities for admission to most universities without entrance examinations or foundation programmes.
